finish my dissertation

Demystifying Dissertation Writing by Peg Boyle Single, PhD. Not promising the world, but have found it to have been a big help for someone like me who is not proficient at dissertation writing yet.

I’m thinking about quitting my job so that I can work full time on my dissertation starting in the fall. Good luck to everyone else!

in 2008, i submitted my dissertation for defense. one of my committee members had real problems with it. as a result, my advisor and i decided to scrap it (yup, a completely finished dissertation!) i’ve spent the past two years recovering from that traumatic event.

i’m much better now and am ready to start again. i’m going to suggest the following plan to my advisor: select a new dissertation topic by the new year and defend my proposal by next fall.

i read somewhere that you’re not a failure until you stop trying. i have to finish this thing. i’ve come so far and i know i can do it.
