it’s very interesting to find out what we can
if you don’t know where you come from how can you kow where you’re going?

are traceable back to the 1500s (yikes!) but then again, the English seemed to keep much better records (i say that with respect)
my subscription to ancestry.com but then got an email that pulled me back in! lol
since then, i’ve found so much more info than i thought possible!!
i even located the great-granddaughter of my great-grandfather’s brother! that was a bit of a mindblower but pretty cool…
i also found out some info on my mom’s side that’s a bit sad & soap-opera-ish but that’s my family in a nutshell anyways lol
the further back i go, the more i learn…but it leaves me with more questions…like why did the g disappear from my family name sometime around 1920-1930? i’ve seen 2 different Federal Census records. the 1920 shows the g before the h…the 1930 doesn’t have the g…
so many things to learn about being irish in lowell during that time…funny thing is, growing up here i’ve learned so much about my family history & didn’t even know that it ran so deep…my family line here runs like the canals that once powered the mills…how very interesting!
i’m so excited right now i can barely contain it!
is sort of redundant…if i’m getting to know my family 1 member at a time, i’m also researching my family tree at the same time…therefore, this is done
Ancestry.com and actually found some of the research one of my sisters had done! pretty cool!!!
i get more info from my aunt than my father…he doesn’t like to talk much about his family…he doesn’t know most of them really well…my aunt is very close to them
where i’m from i can’t know where i’m going…
one of my sisters has provided a couple of clues…i don’t think she knows i’m interested in this too…anyways, i know now that my father’s father’s parent came from a mining town in PA but i’m trying to get further back than that…i want to know as far back as i possibly can find out & only going back 3 generations isn’t far enough…i need to know this so i can figure out what the hell i want to do with my life…
