In shades of blue & black
the day creeps forward
All is still & serene
as the sky’s Golden Medallion is raised
on rainbow ribbons
of crimson, indigo, & violet
& the ocean gives birth to a sunrise
& the gull cries his lonely song
as the waves crash upon the silent shore
Brilliantly glistening
in shades of gold, aqua, and the palest of blues
& the lonely gull calls to my heart
& the ocean calls my name
& music fills my ears
as the day begins to fade

i use to write 10-20 poems a day…all from the deepest part of my being…then something changed so dramatically & all i could do was cry for years…railing against the emotional prison…confined within the walls of my mind…pain wracked soul…torturous screams in my head…i started seeing the sky through the clouds again…therapy sessions in my garden of wildflower dreams…sunrise over the ocean reminded me…a new day arrives, scrubbed clean by the thunderstorms of my life
