i feel it is part of my duty to these sweet beautiful creatures to make people understand this!!!
i would never do this to my baby-cats because it is so cruel & wrong on every level…
i’m very glad more & more vets refuse to do this

to my cats because, not only is it extremely painful for them, it also puts them at a huge disadvantage if they get outside!
they need their knuckles & claws!
i didn’t even know, until we adopted from the shelter, exactly what it was. i had thought it was like having your fingernails ripped out. It’s so much worse than that! it’s like having the first bone of each finger (with the nail) chopped off!!!!!!
it mortifies me that people do this to these sweet beings!!!
