learn to play the violin

In the books. My teacher and I played this little diddy in duet with a piano and it was really fun. Still really scratchy and I am consitently annoying my wife but alltogether a great experience.

I can totally play this little diddy…My teacher was impressed. I still make a myriad of unpleasant sounds but every once in a while it sounds actually like…music

Ah G D and A major…I can play each scale relatively clean now…I seem to have some trouble up bowing to the D string. My teacher is awesome and is quite paciente with me. Also bought a kun shoulder rest and a music stand per her instruction. I can’t wait to play some actual music though…all in good time.

Went to my first class today. Learned how to hold the bow and how to position my arm…my teacher seems really nice.

I’ve made arrangements with the teacher and everything.

The music school cashed my check but I still haven’t recieved a phone call to set up a time to meet with a teacher…musicians…jeez

Signed up for lessons at the Wilmington Music School!

Got my sister’s old violin out from storage and will sign up for lessons at my local music store tomorrow. I have no idea what I’m doing but I did manage to scare the hell out of my dogs whilst making some interesting noises…
