Totally manageable now

I have paid off over a grand in the last couple of months, which is nice.

Still got quite a lot to pay off, but now I know that if I suddenly find myself broke for a month I can easily manage the minimum payment while I sort things out.

I have no intention of slowing down what I pay off, so it should be gone some time next year depending on how good I am. :)

Better situation, but more credit card debt

I have recently transferred what I had left of my loan to a 0% interest credit card. I now have more credit card debt than before, but no loan and no overdraft.

I should pay off about 2/3 of it by the end of the year, and get rid of the rest of it fairly quickly after that.

Once the credit cards are gone the only debt I will have left is my mortgage (sigh). That’s something that will be around for another 20 years or so.

Cancelled one

I called my bank during the process of moving house and cancelled one of my cards. I had been in credit on it for a while, so now that’s all done and dusted.

I still have one that I have random purchases on, and another that I used to get 0% interest on my loan. These two will take a more concentrated effort to pay off, but the reward will be much higher.

Even more complicated

My financial life is kinda screwed up at the moment. I’ve had to use my credit cards a bit recently and now I’m looking at selling my house so I can closer to where I work.

The money savings will be huge, and credit cards/overdrafts should be a thing of the past. We’ll see if that actually happens though. :|

Bigger problems

I have paid off the credit card I had when I first set this goal, but since then a new one was opened for purchasing some furniture on.

Since this happened my ex-girlfriend and I split up. So I bought her out of the house. This means that I now have a loan, the credit card, all the bills, and the mortgage to pay each month.

I still plan on getting rid of the credit card, but there’s £650 on it at the moment, and I’ve got solicitor fees to pay to switch the name on the mortgage, etc.

My financial life is complicated at the moment, but I will be trying to do as much as possible to make it easier for myself.

The completion of this goal would be a good start.

No more credit card usage

I cancelled the dedicated server I had with CoreNetworks today. I’ve barely even looked at it for months and it was just an expense I couldn’t really justify.

Now that I won’t be paying for it every month I should be able to pay off my credit card pretty damn quickly. I don’t use it for anything else. Well, every now and again if I have to order something online outside the UK I will use it, but that’s not too often.

It’ll be nice to get this one done.
