68/100 - Jaws
I left this unchecked on my list because I couldn’t remember if I’d seen it before or not. I thought I could have seen Jaws 2 or something. Upon watching it I realised I had seen the entire film before.
At least now I’m 100% sure I’ve seen it. :)
A couple of bits really made me jump, and I laughed at a fair few bits too. Good film, even though it is a bit silly.

This one surprised me. I was expecting it to be another crappy old black and white film that I’d have to suffer through. It was actually really good. I liked it a lot.
I want to be Addison DeWitt! :)

Somehow this one remained unchecked on my list despite me having seen it quite a while ago… I need to keep better track than this. :)
I seem to remember it was pretty good. It didn’t stand out any more than usual though.

I forgot to check this one off when I watched it a couple of months ago. :|
I enjoyed it a lot, although it is quite long. It’s a good story. :)

I liked this film a lot. I’ve written a much better review of it in a comment on another goal. Go read it there. :)

Well, it’s been a month since I last watched a film on the list and I feel completely out of touch.
The films I actually have available are pretty long ones. This one weighs in at a nice 2 hours and 50 minutes and it shows.
The first 50 minutes flew by. I was surprised when I saw how much I’d already watched.
The rest of the film kind of drags a bit because of the way everyone deals with being back in their homes and trying to deal with “ordinary life.” Blah. It has good parts, and bad parts, much like all movies. ;)

Well, that was an arduous 3 hours. I ended up splitting it over a few days because I just couldn’t get into it.
I watched the last 30 minutes or so in fast forward because it’s a silent movie anyway. The text stays up on the screen long enough to read at double-speed and I’d heard all of the classical music a couple of times by that point.
Basically it’s a story of the American Civil War and then a bunch of stuff about how black people are bad and praise god almighty for the KKK… I would have turned this off if it wasn’t on the list. Not even sure how it made the list in the first place.
Oh yeah. I think Silas Lynch is a stupid name for a black character (played by a white actor) in a movie featuring the KKK. Oh well.

A story of a family moving (not so much by choice) from Oklahoma to California.
I really enjoyed this movie because it reminded me of the feeling I had while travelling back to California from Wyoming back in 2004.
Good film.

Well, I’m 15 minutes into this movie and it’s driving me absolutely mad! I’m sitting and screaming at the screen.
JUST TELL HER THAT SHE’S PLAYING WITH YOUR BALL!JUST TELL HER THAT SHE’S DRIVING YOUR CAR!JUST TELL HER THAT SHE’S RIPPED HER DRESS!
God dammit. So much fricking pissing around it’s unbelievable. Nobody is that god damn stupid!
Argh!
Watch this if you have an extremely high threshold for farce/annoyance/idiocy.

Perhaps the least American movie on the whole list…
This is a really good film. I’m often amazed by how good the movies that I’ve never seen are. What amazes me is that nobody sits me down and forces me to watch them. There should be social education classes in school where popular culture is forced upon you to make you a more sociable person.
An ASBO is a reaction, social education is pre-empting the problem.
Anyway, great film, watch it if you haven’t already.
