get rid of all my clutter

I’ve got rid of a lot of things over the last few months. I moved house again in April and again in May (on top of the couple of times I moved between my previous update and this one) and I’ve now got less stuff than I’ve had for years. There’s still a bit that I’d consider to be clutter, so I’m not quite there yet, but I’m getting close. :)

I’m moving house (for the 21st time in my 23 years) in January. I’ll be moving everything I own into that one building. It’ll be the first time all of my belongings have been in one place for a very very long time! Hopefully it’ll encourage me to go through it all and throw away a bunch of crap I’ll absolutely never need.

Perhaps I should take pictures of it all before I throw it away, just in case I ever want to look at a big pile of stuff…

I went to my dad’s house yesterday and threw away 2 big boxes full of junk. I consolidated about 5 boxes into 2 smaller ones with only the things I really really wanted to keep in them. I threw away an old computer, and some games. Loads of other miscellaneous junk that I’ve just saved over the years.

I’ll almost certainly never need any of it. If I do, then tough crap. :D

I’m determined to get this done before I move house again.

I’ve been going through lots and lots of my stuff and throwing it away. There’s quite a lot left to do, but at least I’m working on it now.

I want to get it down to the bare minimum and put the rest in the attic of my dad’s house so it’s looked after and I don’t have to worry about moving it again for a very long time. Then I’m free to move around as I please.

I think it’s still going to take a few weeks to go through everything. I just have to put off being sentimental about so much junk.

Cleaned the top of my desk today, now I just have to clear the inside of it!
