the alarm is currently set to 5.30. and i’m meant to be out and about by 5.45. really really working hard on this…

i didn’t hear my alarm go off today although i did wake up around 7 only to lie back in bed and wake up at 8.45. bad. i was supposed to be at work at 9 and it takes at least 15 mins to get to work (when speeding is allowed). nevertheless, i thought being 10-15 mins late shouldn’t be a problem until i got a call from the supervisor asking where i was. sigh
i hate those dreams that keep you in bed.
today i woke with my alarm at 6.15 but decided to sleep another hour so i went back into bed, resetted the alarm… and started dreaming about stealing someone’s boyfriend. sigh then the alarm rang, i heard the rain and thought it’d be nicer to just lie around for a while. so yes, this is just not working.
this has got to be the hardest thing. but it’s the one thing i want to get into my system (now, that i’ve got daily exercise into it) before i go on holiday. i thought i’d start anew this week but what did i find myself doing this morning. switching off the phone alarm and waking up an hour later with it in my arms again!
this is soooo not happening this week. i hear the phone ring (it’s the alarm), i pick it up, switch the alarm off, and then blissfully go back to sleep with the phone in my arms.
i’d like to blame it on the weather. it’s been raining heaps and there’s nothing like a really long snooze on a raining morning.
i hear my alarm every morning and go “there, there” while switching off… and then tell myself i’ll have a few minutes to “rest” before i get up. we all know what actualy happens after that. i end up sleeping in.
