this is a definite must now – what with the financial crisis, etc. i reviewed my budget again today only to find that i have to spend more and save less than i did last year. :-/ hopefully, the extra shifts from work and a new permanent (but possibly tiring) job will help. and of course, the trend among my friends to eat out at each other’s places instead of at restaurants and such. =)

the month after my holiday i managed to spend $500 less than my monthly budget. i’d have to say that not going shopping, eating out OR going out was a major player in bringing the expenses down. sure, it means being less social but i really have to save and i’m happy if i do. after all, when i move, i’ll have to reassess my budget.
coming back from my holiday, i feel more need to keep my budget in check and i’m actually making it a point to cook and eat at home than eat out or take away. i’m also considering a move… so i probably will have to do up a whole list of pros and cons to plan the move well without affecting the budget too much.
