get my first tattoo

I couldn’t give plasma today. After about an hour of screening and questions and tests and more questions, they asked me if I had given blood in the past 8 weeks. I didn’t remember the exact date but I said I had given blood a while back. I said I thought it was about two months or so but since I couldn’t remember the exact date and it was within a 2-month time range, the deferred me for another 8 weeks.
So that fell through.

I might be going to give plasma on Monday. No one has been willing to take me yet because if it’s your first time, it takes like 3 hours. But my roommate said he would pull me for split-off and take me. So that’ll get me $40. then the next 2 or 3 times I do it I get 40 more bucks. So I think I’m gonna make that the beginnings of my tattoo fund. I’m actually really contemplating just getting my “hold fast” or “The Lord’s” tattoo with the first 2 plasma…uh..checks. They’d only be $50 tops.
I just don’t know what I want “the Lord’s to look like. I think I want it to cover the majority of the back of my hand rather than just written small. Deciding on a typeface will be tough.

I had a whole entry for this and I lost it due to crap internet. So here’s the short end of it.

Don’t know which to get first.

I REALLY want my hold fast tattoo ASAP! Like really bad. If anyone wants to through like 50-60 bucks my way for the cause of a righteous tattoo….go ahead.

I was thinking about tattoos a little tiny bit today. I was thinking that a reason I really want tattoos is so I can tell my kids stories about them. I want them to sit on my lap and point at the anchor on my arm and ask what it is and what it’s for. That would just be great. I mean I have to get that anchor first…
I want all my tattoos to have some sort of story behind them. Except maybe my Mike Ditka portrait…

This was going to be happening this week but now it looks like I won’t have the time or the money. I just need to get money enough to fill my gas tank so I can drive to Centralia. Kyle is buying it for me. Looks like I’ll have to wait until this summer, since I can’t get tattoos while Masters is in session…which is for the next 5 months straight.
This is quite upsetting, to say the least.

this could be very soon or it could be a ways off yet. i know once i get my first, i’ll get many. tattoos are beautiful. i love the way the look and i love the way people look when they’re covered with them. not that it makes people more beautiful and i think some people should get lots so they look better. it’s just very attractive when people have lots of nice tattoos.
