appreciate the little things

My boss gave me a cookie yesterday and thanked me for my hardwork. It was a lemon cookie, and it was divine! I was appreciative of his gesture and token of his appreciation :D

Came and introduced himself yesterday while I was weeding the front area, and offered to weed ‘em for me. I politely declined, but he politely insisted so I agreed to let him if he’d allow me to compensate him and his wife with my banana bread (that I was already making for the other nice neighbors who gave me all those bananas)!

Made a point to stop in and visit me at my job today! She called my co-worker to see if I was in, and told her not to tell me so I’d be surprised :D She brought me a white rose, and lots of food and… More bananas!! I was pleasantly surprised and it was great to chat with her; take a nice, long break ;D I love my MIL, she’s truly a pure, good woman.

As I was running, a random lady in the neighborhood approached me and offered me a huge stem of bananas! I was so touched and thanked her for the gift. Once the bananas are ripe, I am planning to make her banana bread as a “thank you” for her kindness :D

Last week my good friend brought a fruit salad that she’d prepared for us so that we wouldn’t starve! I love her, and that she’s like me where we like to share our food with each other :D

A lady let us go in front of her in the grocery store line! That was so sweet of her and I told her this. She simply said that it’s all about giving back. I couldn’t agree more!

I always appreciate when others express how happy my husband and I appear! We are often asked if we’re honeymooners, which we’re not :D The nicest comment came from an elder lady a little while back who told us that love looked good on us :D I agree!

Any time a girl or a guy gives me a compliment, I always appreciate that they took the time to express it! Unless my gut tells me that I should be wary, I’ve learned to accept compliments that come my way as innocent appreciation from the giver :D I love giving compliments in turn because they make others feel good, as well as me! We were given a pair of eyes for good reason, and that is to appreciate and drink in the beauty of the world (including people and their beautiful energies as well!).
The other day at the movies, a very lovely and beautiful lady gave me the nicest compliment and told my husband that he was a lucky guy! It always feels good when he smiles and agrees because I think we’re both lucky :D

My husband surprised me yesterday at work with several spam musubis! I was so famished, and he couldn’t have picked a better day to display such a sweet act of love! I appreciate him and his consideration so much :D

She is seriously one of the sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing! She often leaves me funny or endearing little post it notes which I will pin up on my bulletin board :D We both like to surprise each other with little treats too. Today she put a strawberry fat boy ice cream sandwich on my desk (she’d gotten one for herself too) and we ate our treat together like little schoolgirls! I always appreciate her because she makes my work days fun and bearable. We always have each other’s back, I’m lucky.
