Continue completing my BA

Due to scheduling conflicts and such, there have been some delays, but I’m going to get this done! Just 2 more classes; it won’t be hard to do ;D

I just got my grades for this semester recently, and I did good! 1 ‘A’ and 1 ‘B’ :) Both of the classes were pretty difficult and very time consuming, so I am quite thrilled!

I officially ended the semester yesterday and I am so happy! Two more classes out of the way :D It was a difficult semester, but I am confident that my grades will be good. Now, I only have 2 more classes to take, and then I graduate!! The only bummer is that one of the courses I need is Statistics and it appears that it’s not being offered this coming semester… Without that class, I can’t sign up for my second class, which is my Senior Practicum, so I may not get to graduate quite yet. But it doesn’t really matter, because I only have two more classes total, and they WILL get completed!! I might actually enjoy having a semester off to be honest :)

Class officially started for me this week! I am waiting on one more book which should arrive next week. Otherwise, I am SO ready to tackle this semester :D After this, I’ve only got 2 more classes to go! I can scarcely believe that my long journey is nearing its end.

I just got my final grades last night, and I scored 2 A’s in the classes that I took for the semester! I am so thrilled :D This definitely gives me some renewed juice for my upcoming Spring courses!

Is under my belt! I am looking so forward to receiving my final grades too, as it was a very fruitful semester in many ways. One of my classes was a writing intensive course in environmental politics, and the biggest compliment came from my Professor who taught it. She asked if I’d consider switching my major to Political Science! As much as I enjoyed her course though, I am content with my major of social sciences. I am all geared up for Spring 2008, and will only have 2 more classes to complete after I am done in May!

All ready to roll for Fall! Classes start 8/20 and I’m all paid up for my next set of courses. After this semester, only 4 more classes to go!!

I always excelled in school… When I wanted to that is. I did very good in high school and it was only logical that I’d go on to finish college in the typical 4 year time frame. Although I started attending a university right after graduation, I was not mentally ready or willing to be there. My parents had great intentions, but what I wanted for myself was different.

When I finally settled down and decided to go back to school, I locked in my AA with honors, and faced my demons by starting up a BA program once again at the age of 26. I’m proud to say that I will finally be graduating in 2008!

For some, this is probably not a big accomplishment since many people I know already have their Bachelor’s degree and have had it since they were quite young. But for me it’s a huge personal accomplishment in so many ways.

The best part is that because I want to be in school, graduating means so much more to me than it would’ve if I’d finished at 22. I actually can fully appreciate this accomplishment and revel in it—especially since I’ve paid for my own education out of pocket as well!

EDIT: I probably won’t get to walk until 2009, due to class schedule conflicts, but it’s all good, I’m practically done!
