I just found out today that one of the Mental Health Specialists within our program is getting his 2nd Master’s as an MFT! This excites me greatly since I am between this degree or an MSW, so it was great to get tips from him regarding the cost (yikes!), and the overall process. It sounds lengthy but worth it! I am excited for the near future :D

The unthinkable dream 1 year ago

For me to even say that I want to achieve a goal like this is huge! For so many years before I cracked down and started going back to school again, I was anti-college and had no interest in acquiring my BA, let alone a Master’s degree!

But I’ve discovered since being a student again that I LOVE school! I love how it mentally expands my thinking and broadens my knowledge on so many topics. I am hungry for more and want to keep going.

I am lucky that my husband is so supportive and is continuously encouraging me to achieve my dreams. Many of my colleagues have their MA, and are also extreme sources of support and help.

I no longer think about wanting to accomplish this goal, I know that I will. It’s just a matter of time and figuring out exactly what I want to focus on in my field of study when the moment comes to start applying to potential universities!
