Although there’s SO FREAKING MUCH to learn and I’ve learned but a small amount, music theory is definitely a great tool for everyone. It helps you listen to and appreciate tons more kinds of music, play your instrument better, AND you sound really cool going, “the cadenza in that recapitulation was very atonal!”
