get the hell out of los angeles

This week my wife and I are moving to Portland Oregon. We’ve purchased a catering business and we’re on our way. No more rude Orange County attitudes and no more traffic at 2:00 a.m.

Well my wife and I are looking at several positions in Portland right now that could pan out. Most of the positions that we’re interested in are put out in January/February of each new year (when the cities/counties) get their new budget. Hopefully one or both of us will be able to land a planning job up there.

That pretty much says it all. For the reasons posted above. Traffic – check. A-holes – check. Makes me aggressive – check.

I plan to move to Portland, OR. The weather is cool, the forests are green and lush and the people are amazing. When I was up there in April I spoke with a Sav-On clerk for like 30 minutes. You just don’t get that down here in LA (mostly likely your clerk only speaks Spanish cuss words to his co-worker and gives you the dirty looks).

Oh yeah, and a whole lot less traffic too.
