Well I found out this week that I am able to obtain a British citizenship through my mother. Before 2003 you could only recieve citizenship rights through your father, but they’ve recinded this and now I can apply.
Additionally, with a Brit citizenship I will be able to apply for work in the EU. Yeah!

There are so many other incredible countries to live in but its very hard to actually get recognition for certain U.S. certifications (probably because we maintain an isolationist policy to other countries). As an planner, if I worked in the EU, or any part of the British Commonwealth there would be many tremendous opportunities to work as a Town Planner in another country (anywhere from South America to India. As it is, only Canada accepts U.S. planners.
Right now my ideal country would be New Zealand. To get there I will have to see if I can transfer my A.I.C.P. planning license to the C.I.C. Canadian license and from there to the New Zealand license. What a headache!

I love reading escapeamerica.com. I want to live somewhere like Panama (need to learn Spanish), New Zealand, or Canada.
Ideally I would love to live part time in several places.
