I only had a half hour to exercise today…so I used it. (Ordinarily, I would have said that half an hour is too short a time and parked my butt in front of the t.v.)

Well, I got out again. That makes 3x this week. If I can walk five times in a week, I might try running (or walking and running).
I walked on Sunday.
I walked yesterday (Thursday).
And I walked today.
Today, I also read a book called “The Perfect Mile—” it’s about the quest to break the 4 minute mile in the 1950s. Great book…well-researched and very readable. I was in suspense during the climactic race at the British Empire Games (even though I knew how it turned out before I picked up the book).
Five years ago, I was running regularly. Now I’ve stopped. I don’t know why. I guess that, after a point, the running started to feel like a second job, and I was already working at a job that I couldn’t stand.
I have become a couch potato (or mouse potato). I would really like to start exercising regularly again—but not have it run my life.
