bike everywhere

david and i had a biking date this afternoon! it was really cute. we biked to a sculpture garden and to the arboretum.

biked to the cemetary/sculpture garden. it was rad.

andar en bicicleta: es mi nueva fascinacion. ^_

i got rid of my old way too small black bike…now i have my mom’s old kickass blue and white bike with curvy touring handlebars! i am in love with it! it is, like, my chariot. i want to give it a noble name. or something.

one time i almost got killed. that was sobering. i need to pay more attention on the road. but for the most part it is just a beautiful adventure, letting me get more exercise and fresh air and saving me money (and time in some cases!) and letting me get to know my home better.

i especially love biking to david’s house because there is a drop dead gorgeous park/ arboretum/ nature place right between our houses that i get to ride through at sunset…

and biking to cambridge because i get to bike along the giant river and it is fun and beautiful.

the other day i was able to bike to the center where i took the SATs. that made me inexplicably happy. even though i was worried about my bike getting stolen the whole time. (sketchy neighborhood)
