list three things every day that made me happy

1. Keeping my expectations low.

2. Christmas candy at 50% off.

3. My brother. He can be a real ass sometimes, but I love the kid.

1. Dinner with Maris and Chris. Hey. That rhymed. Ha.

2. Being somewhat productive with finding necessities for NOLA.

3. Watching ‘The Incredibles’ and ‘Batman Begins’ w/ J.

1. For all of my bitching about religion, “Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence” by Fernando Ortega is one of my favorite songs of the season. It’s absolutely beautiful.

2. Spending a little while just shutting up and listening to my Gram. What she says doesn’t initially make sense anymore, but I think she got out what she felt like she needed to say.

3. My brothers really liked their Cubs/Sox pint glasses.

1. Sleeping in. I’ve been tired enough to sleep. Yay.

2. My mom’s cheesecake. It’s my gram’s recipe.

3. Receiving really nice gifts from family, including a vintage rhinestone bracelet and gold lucite purse, circa mid-50s.

1. Helping mom with the rest of the photos.

2. Getting a quick phone call hello from S.

3. Getting all of my Christmas shopping done in 2 hours, 13 minutes.

1. Having a much needed bitch-fest about a co-worker’s homophobia with Kathie at work. There’s not much more heartbreaking than a self-hating gay in denial.

2. Providing iPod tech support for my orthodonist’s assistant when I’d stopped in to make a payment.

3. My happy cat purring.

1. Free food at the Christmas luncheon. Yay.

2. Helping my mom with the digital photos for my grandma’s Christmas gift. (Not Gram, but my other fun, goofy grandma.)

3. Talking to S for a while on the phone. I have no fear with this one. He asked, I was honest. I don’t feel like I have to censor myself at all. I can’t go wrong with that.

1. Hanging out with my mom.

2. Catching up with Maris via phone. I told her about S. :)

3. Blackhawks shut out the Red Wings, 3-0. Effin’ sweet. Now maybe my brother will wipe that smirk off his face.

1. Sleeping in, like, whoa.

2. Dancing like a fool with Laura.

3. Meeting S. I may have completed another goal here… That all will remain to be seen until after the new year.

1. Udon noodles for lunch.

2. Hanging out with Maris, Al and Christine.

3. Magner’s Cider.
