have a pet

I named my fish David after the Chinese boy I first laid eyes on at O2B Kids, my workplace, and for the youngest boy in my Sunday school class. They represent changes in my life and hope that it’s going somewhere. I got a job that’s directly related to kids (nothing in retail anymore) and I started teaching kids at Sunday school – something I’ve always wanted to do. It was also during the time that I distanced myself from someone. A hurtful but really needed experience. I wouldn’t trade anything else for it in the world because it was the pain that drew me closer to God. I love to see what God has in store for me next.

My friend saw me looking at betta fishes the other day and since he knew I wanted a pet, he got me one.

I’m so entranced. I can’t stop looking at it. He’s so pretty. He has this beautiful blue purple color on him. I’m not suppose to name him until three weeks later because he might die. I’m counting down the days and hoping he lives. I can’t wait to name him.

Aww, I saw the most adorable bunnies the other day. I was tempted to take one home with me. I love pets – dogs, cats, birds, fishies, anything cute and/or cuddily. I can’t wait until I get one of my own.
