I’m not sure which goal to put this entry under. Here seems good.

I’m in a rut. I have no motivation to do anything other than read and work. I haven’t written anything in months, I can’t even get myself to start writing a basic blog entry. I was hoping the blog project would motivate me to create more, but since I can’t even motivate myself to blog, that plan kind of backfired.

I know part of it has to do with my living situation. The neighbors drive me crazy with their noise, and I can’t get a damn thing done when my roommate is around because he’s just…there, being distracting. I can’t explain it, but I know that this is not working for me. I seriously can’t wait until K gets a job and we can move in together. I have a feeling that once I’m “settled” things will come a lot easier. I’m not sure how long I’m going to have to wait for this to happen, and I still need a solution in the meantime.

It’s not even just writing-related things we’re talking about here. There are so many things in various categories that I’d like to make a reality. I’ve been slacking on everything: paying off debt, exercising, socializing, general things around the house. How do I jumpstart myself again?

My schedule is switched around a little this week, and I unexpectedly have today off, which works out great because I’m still recovering from being sick over the weekend. Anyways, I would like to take this moment to address the problem I have sticking with to-do lists. I seem to have good intentions while making the daily ones in my little day planner, but most of the time they go ingored. Eventually, most of the stuff I put on there will end up getting done, but why do I have such an aversion to the list? I quite literally will glance right at it and say to myself, “Yep, that’s a list all right,” and go on about my business of attending to something else. It would make my life so much easier, and I wouldn’t be rushing around trying to get things done at the very last minute if I were to JUST STICK TO THE PLAN. I suppose that’s why this goal in on here in the first place.

So, today’s list is pretty daunting at first look, although a lot of the things on there are accomplished pretty quickly. I’d be happy if I got most of it done.

Only 2 weeks in and I’ve already begun my procrastination with school. I’m having trouble getting back in the rhythm. I’m cracking down, and giving myself until the end of the week (Sunday) to catch up.
