...and ‘they’ do say imitation is the most sincerest form of flattery.
(Well, what do I know?)
What she has done is have a goal name that is actually a place marker for different goal types. Yes, I’m going to try to adopt that. Also some use their entries for daily to-do lists and mark them off.
No time like the present!
EDIT: Used all of my cheers for today – haven’t done that for a while ! That’s the power of JDI.
EDIT: Oh dear, I keep getting extra cheers because of actual activity on site but they do not last long – let me pass one more then I really need to power down.

...if there is a (real) reason you can’t do it now.

...listed at a time.
“43 Things” is too much (for me) to keep in my head all the time. I read somewhere that most people can only keep between 5 and 9 simple items in their head at any one time. That averages out at 7 then.
But I find it difficult to retain stuff in my current memory so let’s say 5 items for me.
What to do with the rest? Well I’m putting them on the ‘give up for now list’ until I’m ready to re-activate them.
I can but try!

So admittedly when my MD said of someone else to me “ok, tell them JFID”, I almost asked him what he meant but I asked a colleague after that meeting what it meant. Yes, “Just **ing Do It!”
I’m glad that I didn’t say that to them after all.
Hmm, JFDI and jedi – don’t they look kinda similar?

...but this time instead of borrowing a paperback (and returning it!) I purchased a hardback – for £100. That’s actually a typo its supposed to be £1.00 but if you sieve out the success principles implicit within it and then put them into practice this could be worth £100,000!
I shall make time to re-read with this objective in mind soon.

...yesterday. It is branded and classed as a ‘Quick Read’ – I got through it in an hour!
It’s punchy, it’s to the point and it isn’t condescending as so many motivational books are.
I did read his first autobiography “Losing My Viginity” a few years back – “Screw It” is somewhat a better organised summary of this but introduces some new material in clear as well.
Well worth getting. Search on Amazon.com if you can’t find a local book supplier. Keep it with you and re-read it regularly to keep motivated. I rate Branson because he’s a man of the people and he’s self-made. But above all he has learnt the enormous value of integrity.
Do it. Go. NOW!

Yes I did it. What? Something. More specifically, another of the goals on my Life List. (Waking up when my alarm clock goes off.) I marked this as being done but indicated I wanted to do it again. Then I move it back to my Life List. (Unfortunately doing it like this does not retain the completed at least once mark!) But this needs to stay on top of the Life List (for now) as a permanent reminder until this becomes a habit.

Why this goal?
Some thought is a good thing. However I once had a mentor who said that I overthink things. Often with a view to find reasons not to do things or just plain believing that trying something will not succeed. I now believe he was right. I do overthink things and often take an unnecessarily negative view. So instead of pondering and procrastinating then berating myself for doing that instead of taking positive meaningful action, I need to just do it.
Looking at the above – I can see my belief is strong! Howvever it is a negative belief. Gosh. Well let’s see if I can switch that around – turn it on to its head. Let’s just do it!
