There are so many difficult situations in life. You have loyalties to many people, but when it comes down to it, who do you put first?
eg. 1) One of my friends has been pissed at my other friend for several months now. Friend 1 told me why she didn’t like friend 2, I told friend 2 what friend 1 had said, then friend 1 asked me if I’d told friend 2 why she didn’t like her. So what do I do?? Whatever I say, I’m either lying or betraying my friend, no matter how insignificant the situation is. And should I have told friend 2 about it in the first place?
2) Today, one of my friends asked me if my other friend didn’t like her, and why. I either had to lie, refuse to answer, or tell the whole brutal truth. It’s difficult knowing what to do.
I prefer life when there’s little or no conflict between friends. Sadly, in many situations, I’m the one caught between people, refusing to side with anyone, but wanting to help all parties involved.
Gah.
