speak portuguese fluently

I’ve started my new portuguese class and so far I have an A!

I’m planning on studying abroad this summer to take Portuguese classes in Lisbon. Its really expensive so I may only be able to afford 3 weeks, but hopefully the money will materialize so that I can go for 6 weeks. My school only offers Portuguese 1-2 (and it’s Brazilian Portuguese, not European) so I’m very excited about this! Even though I’m nervous, I really want it to follow through!

My family is from the Azores, and we went to visit this summer. I just simply fell in love with it. I’m basically the only one in my family that doesnt speak portuguese because when I was little, everyone only spoke english to me.

Well… inspired by my experience in the Azores, I signed up for my first portuguese class. I’m determined to learn my language and I feel that it will help me to get closer to my vavó and vavô.
