Buy a House

I had everything all set: the land, the house, the money and then the town got in the way. Because the township doesn’t want excessive growth they have a limit of 3 acres. Well, when my dad talked to one of the ladies she said it only needed to be 1.5 acres. So we figured everything and submitted the plans. On the day of the board meeting she called and said “oh so sorry it needs to be 3 acres.” I was so crushed. I cried the whole next day. Now I’ve been working on being content where I am.

I’ve decided to build. My parents will divide their land and I’m buying a modular home. That’s where they’re made in a factory and delivered to my site. I’m so excited! It’s a ranch… which I have always been so critical of! But it’s mine so I’ll do some nice landscaping and make do! It looks like May for moving in. YEAH!!!!

Yesterday my dad and I went to look at modular homes. We spent a good chunk of the day figuring but I finally have one picked out! The company, Design Homes, offers financing too so it’s one stop shopping! The people were very knowledgeable, friendly and fast. I’m so excited, I think that’s why I couldn’t sleep. Hopefully by spring I’ll be in my new place!
