I discovered this band today, when my boyfriend sent me a video with a Angry Birds theme cover played by it. Now I’m doing my automation program listen to others Pomplamoose covers. Loving all!
The band actually is a duo from California, USA.

I’m so happy I bought the ticket before travel. If I’d have to do now, I wouldn’t have money to it. And Pato Fu is a band I have to watch every time it’s in my town.
They have now a such cute concert, for the Música de Brinquedo album, when they play with toy instruments. They recorded Live and Let Die, that I love much more after the Paul’s concert last Sunday.

I thought I already had a great plan for this weekend in Sao Paulo, full with concerts. And yesterday I got ticket for the Raveonettes concert for a incredible small price (just R$16), in the only night left I had. So, it will be 3 nights there, 3 nights in concert!! Can I handle with it? I don’t know! But it will be fun to figure out!
I’m just listening the setlist of their concert at Indonesia. I couldn’t get the China playlist, that was the last concert before here in Brazil.

I can’t wait for the next weekend. I started to get excited about the trip, finally. Normally I get excited just after buy the air tickets, I don’t know why it took more weeks this time. Maybe because I have many things to do before it and my mind is full of worries…
Anyway, some of the bands I will watch the concert and the songs are on my personal playlist:
On Saturday:
Of Montreal \o/
Yeasayer
Mika
Passion Pit
Phoenix
Hot Chip
Pavement
Smashing Pumpkins
On Sunday:
Paul McCartney \o/
Unfortunattly, I won’t see Holger concert, as they begin just 30 minutes before Of Montreal, the main band of the night to me. The stages are far from each other and I want to see Kevin very close and have some fun with him :)
And I still try to get ticket to Raveonettes concert on Friday :D

This band will play almost in the same time of Of Montreal on the festival, but I can see the first 30 minutes of its concert. Its songs are so happy and remember me sunny days, so it’s perfect to still on my playlist mobile for the next months.
Its a brazilian band, but its songs are in English.
See its website, download the complete album and watch its last videoclip.

After go to her concert some weeks ago (see the entry before this one), I just recorded how I like her songs and this kind of music that make me want to dance and jump all time.
Today I’m at home organizing my room, doing my laundry and make some searches. Érika Martins will be the soundtrack of this day.

After some days full of study, it was great to rest with a weekend full of music, friends, beers and food.
On Saturday, I saw Dubstereo (from here. Funny guys!), Soko (from France. Good songs, but this girl is not prepared for big public yet, didn’t finish her concert) and Céu (even I’m not a MPB fan, I loved her concert). After that, I went to the free Érika Martins’ concert on Pelourinho and it was the best of the weekend in my option.
On Sunday, I saw A Banda de Joseph Tourton (from Pernambuco. Competent, but very boring and without interaction with the public), Cidadão Instigado (from Ceará. Good, but didn’t touch me) and Dinosaur Jr. (from USA. Pure rock’n’roll, bad for the ears :P).
After that, two more weeks of college projects and avaliations, before rest again on the 4-days holiday.

A brazilian band from Brasília (the capital). It’s rock mixed with bossa nova mixed with a lot of strange things, including East European rhythms and … it works perfectly well.
I’ve been already on one of its concerts here in my city and loved how fun it is. But I didn’t enjoy a lot, because it was after a day full of work. This time it won’t be a problem.
It’s wonderful the ticket is very cheap and I’ll get it this weekend.

My boyfriend sent me some of her videos to watch and I imediatly loved her voice. Cute but strong! Lucky me she will make a concert at my city in the end of September.
I didn’t listen all songs yet, but the biggest hit, “I’ll Kill Her”, still be my favorite until now.
If you want to listen to her songs, check her myspace or her lastfm radio.

I found this band on the net 5 years ago and went to its concerts in town. The guitarrist became my friend and the vocalist is one of my best friends in life since then. They will lauch a new videoclip this Saturday on a theather in the same street my boyfriend lives and I’ll be there.
To remember the old times on the concerts in small and weird places, I got from my shelf their last CD to listen again during this week.
If you want to listen to their songs too, visit their myspace site.
