and disciplining myself to stay on my gluten-free diet. this is a health-matter, not a weight matter. although when I stray from my diet, my intestine flares up and I lose weight due to ill health and malnutrition (due to my intestine not absorbing nutrients).

I gave up caffeine, I drink only water and lots of it, I exercise regularly and eat healthy foods (generally healthy, you know, low fat, high protein, high fiber, mostly organic); but I still feel like death warmed over. I know it’s because I eat gluten when I shouldn’t, so damn it I’m going to work on that now. if I can give up caffeine…

one big problem is that in order to achieve this goal, I have to cook lol. I am fine with cooking, but the kids and even the husband will not sit down and eat with me or eat what I make. they all want their own specialized things. in a perfect world, they’d all eat it too! but my world is not even in the same galactic quadrant as this mythical “perfect world”. so I’m cooking for myself.

it just isn’t much fun that way. in fact it’s downright depressing.

but maybe they’ll come around. or I’ll feel so much better when I eat right that I will cease to care!
