56/365 Daily Happiness Project: September 11, 2008
  • A coworker who was going through a very traumatic and serious and rare cancer procedure (surgery + a bunch of stuff for about 12 hours today) was doing well when we were last updated. And she was able to keep more of her organs than originally expected. I don’t really know her at all, but I hope the best for her.
  • One of her close friends/coworkers was so happy about the news that she was dancing at the elevators when we were leaving for the day. That made my soul smile.
  • Hilarious phone calls and emails throughout the work day with my sister
  • Promoting National Adoption Day in periodicals and on the web through work – a great cause!
  • Moving from just healing stretches to stretches + strengthening exercises in physical therapy. I’m getting better!
  • My dogs – being greeted by them when I get home.

You know, no one can make you feel more special and welcome than a dog. When it’s a pack, like we have, then they work like a whole welcoming committee. (Now if I could only get them to learn how to mix a decent cocktail …)
