I dared to step on the scale this morning, and lo and behold, my weight had gone down a couple pounds.
I was shocked, smaller pants aside.
I have had a rough couple weeks when it comes to being vigilant about my nutrition consumption, to say the least.
And though I have been exercising a lot, I can’t believe that it did the trick. The numbers have just been stuck lately, even when I was being ever-vigilant.
So, the new plan from the nutritionist is working, and I am re-inspired to be ever-vigilant.

She said I am doing the right things, and my metabolism is probably slow from being sedentary during the day. I exercise at night on weekdays, so she has suggested for me to additionally exercise two times a day.
Today is day one of exercising three times a day. In the morning before work, at lunch at work, and at night, which is when I have been exercising.
This will bring me up from 1.5 hours a day most days to 2.5 hours a day, with exercising before meals and throughout the day to boost my metabolism. (Bonus being that we aren’t cutting my calorie intake any more right now—-thank goodness!)

Still in the rut of my own making. No more trying. Just doing.
On a positive note, I am maintaining my weight and not gaining it back. This in itself is a whole new way of being and an accomplishment for me.

I need to focus a little more.
Fortunately, I’m maintaining my weight, but I want to get back on track with losing.
I’m meeting with my nutritionist this week. I know that will help me to kick-start myself back into gear.

At the very least, I have been keeping off what I have lost so far. I have to remember to keep my good habits and not let the bad ones creep back in to my life.
Everyday I have to work at it. That’s what is so tough: the constant vigilance.

I need to remember to put myself first when I make priorities. Exercise first, healthy cooking first, not letting other peoples’ stuff bring me down, not letting work and unpleasantries in life get me down and not letting myself react with bad food choices or the return of bad habits!
I know that I won’t make my goal-challenge this month, but that’s okay, as long as I move in the right direction.
