Likely to be a cultural highpoint for the year. Having not gotten around to booking tickets during the whole 3/4 year period that Jerusalem has been running to rave reviews, I ended up queuing for day seats – from 4.30am! I really doubted it could live up to the hype and the effort, but in fact it was amazing. A very poignant story of an outsider and how the world treats him, but also bringing in layers of lost traditions and magic, as well as a good slice of dance music and drugs!
This show reminded me that I really should make more of an effort to go to the theatre or other cultural events, hence this new year’s resolution. It is going to be a busy 2012…
