...but that is better than I’ve managed for the last few months. My gym membership has started up again after a summer long suspension (due to financial & time constraints) so hopefully I can get back on track with this goal.
And the fact that I’ve put on 3 kg while not working out should be an extra encouragement to exercise!

Exercising 4 times a week is a little impractical at the moment, what with job hunting & internship etc. Three times per week is the minimum recommended amount, AFAIK, and seems much more achievable.
Unfortunately, my gym membership is suspended until the beginning of September due to lack of funds. However, there are other forms of exercise that I can do until then – running, sit-ups & squats etc at home, rollerblading. The weather is no longer quite so hot, and my knee is much better now, so no more excuses!

The good thing about this goal is that even on weeks when I don’t make it, I still exercise two or three times a week, which is more regular exercise than I’ve ever managed before!
However, I’m going to make more of an effort to record my progress – I think this will help keep me motivated, especially as my diary is looking very busy for the next few weeks.

Made it to the gym 3 times last week – 2 full workouts (cardio and weights) and one shorter cardio session. Plus I did a fair bit of dancing at Fairytales, so don’t feel this went too badly.

Week 7
As predicted, this week was a washout in exercise terms, but fantastic in many other ways.
Week 8
Three visits to the gym, but not enough cardio for my liking – I can’t wait to improve, and be able to run for miles and miles :-)
Week 9
One gym session and a run. Not good enough, although it was good to go running outside, especially with a friend. It made me think of cross-country runs at school, only with less pain and walking when hidden from the teachers view.

Just got back from a lesson, and it’s not just my bum that aches. I wasn’t sure whether it counted, cos I used to ride a lot and I was still unfit, but, combined with other things, I think it could be really good for me now.
Also this week, I’ve had 2 good workouts in the gym, and I plan to go again tomorrow – if I can move :-)

Only made it to the gym once last week, although that was for a really long workout. This week promises to be better though – I’m typing in my gym kit, ready to work out for the second time this week, and I just booked a riding lesson for Friday.
Unfortunately, next week will be bad as I’m away in Prague, and I don’t think our hotel has a gym. Will just have to do lots of walking and sit-ups I suppose, and aim to go to the gym on Saturday before we head up to Birmingham.
But hey, I’ll be in Prague so I won’t care about being unfit :-)

Only managed to exercise 3 times last week (all in the gym) but I’m not going to beat myself up over it – I needed to focus on other things like sociability and job-hunting. This week I really want to try roller-blading in South Park – I feel a bit self-conscious though, so want to go early in the morning, and I need to keep my eyes open for non-rainy days, which I fear could be few and far between.

Four times in the gym this week. No cheating!
I have an optimistic feeling that I’m going to start seeing really good results over the next couple of weeks – providing I stick at it. Maybe it’s because trashy magazines always have headlines like “Six weeks to a new you”, so that’s the time I think it takes. But it seems to be getting somewhat easier, and I’m definately toning up.

If dancing in a nightclub counts as exercise, then I just about fulfilled this goal for the week, as I made it to the gym 3 times as well. But I think I’m on dubious ground here :-?
