Do my spring class justice

I have finished my spring class. I am so super happy I put up this goal because it forced me to focus on getting the most out of this class, and I think I did. I feel like I could actually teach ESL; I probably won’t run out looking for jobs, but if I needed to do it or burn out on what I’m doing now, it’s a viable option I’d feel confident pursuing. Plus, it always feels good to check off goal #1 on the list!

I am DONE with my project. Well, I will have one more proofread through on Monday after school and then will print for Tuesday. Feels so awesome. Feels so awesome!

TODAY! And sorry for the caps. I’m excited. I’m going to finish my unit today, no matter what it takes! I will be done with my spring class!!!!!!!!!!

Thank God I’m good at reflecting. I think in this unit, if I can show I was thinking about stuff, even if the final product isn’t perfect, she’ll be able to see my learning. While more isn’t better, reflecting comes easily to me so though I procrastinated doing my homework for like two hours, I just dumped out 2-3 pages in about 45 minutes. Woo!

Oh my gosh, this semester is just dragging on . . . I have to remember that I have the gift of an extra week to get this bad boy done and not to squander it. I have written almost all the lessons and now just need to do the reflections and supplementary materials. Baaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh! Subscribers, my entries are going to get so much more interesting in a week . . . just hang in there!

and do one lesson. Then I’m allowed to sew. I really would rather sew but I really need to get a lesson done, too. It’s a compromise since the lesson isn’t immediately due.

for my one assessment task, so that was good. Wasted a lot of time trying to figure out how to do it according to the Understanding by Design 6 facets of understanding, but I must have been on the wrong track and tried to do my best anyway. Also wrote my one-page summary, which is what I needed for Tuesday. Lucky for my she extended the deadline a week. It will make a big difference in the quality.

Revised my objectives, wrote up part of the assessment and wrote another lesson. Left to do: develop materials (eek!), finish writing assessment including rubric based on UbD, finish last two lessons, write reflection. I still have a lot left! Yikes!

but I have to work on my unit on Wednesday. Grrrr! I did all my reading, and did good online responses, but I need to work on that unit before the weekend, so I can revise it on the weekend. Must do this!!! I miss him!!!

today. All reading is done for this week (and officially, for the course, though I have to read more for my unit). Tomorrow I will work on the unit some more (was going to today, and did not get to it). Proud!
