Yep.

So here I am…for about seven months now I’ve been earning a living without having a regular, steady job, but instead doing random things like babysitting and selling things online and a bit of artistic modeling. And I’ve been making it work! And now, I’m preparing to return to school in only a month’s time, but still not sure how I’ll finance everything. I’ll just have to keep finding a way to make it work. Talk about taking chances, welcoming anxiety, flaunting insecurity (actually I think the author meant “flout insecurity”...haha), etc.!

A few ways I have done/am doing this

Well, there’s the whole dating chicks thing. And telling my family about it. Going out alone when my friends and acquaintances aren’t available and meeting new people. Skydiving. Going to a sexuality course last weekend. Taking clippers to my own head (repeatedly even). I think the one that fits with “flaunt insecurity” the most is being as honest and true to myself as I possibly can, even when I think it might offend someone. I never realized how hard that can be for me until I started consciously trying to do it.

Oh, and my near future is so up in the air right now it’s crazy. But it’s liberating as well as anxiety-inducing, and I’ve been thinking of all sorts of possibilities…

Even Cowgirls Get the Blues

I just finished re-reading this Tom Robbins book for the first time in over 12 years. This goal is taken from a quote in the book. And I think I actually have a decent start on it. :)
