I’m working full steam on this goal. I cleared out all the dust mites under my bed. removed all wall portraits so that change them up and bring new life into my room. I went through my closet and cleared out clothing that I can’t stand wearing anymore. It’s amazing how clothing has such a way of bringing memories back. It felt good because some of the clothing that I got rid of was in good condition, but just brought back ho-hum or sad memories of the last time I wore them, that I can;t look at them anymore. I don’t like the way they make me feel. So I did the best thing I could do, remove them from my closet and give them to charity. Now I have new room for new clothes that i can wear to have better memories in. I wounder if I am the only one that remembers every piece of clothing that one wears during a moment in there life. Like, I can remember eaxtly what wore on a particualr date with an ex or something. and those clothings, harmless like a t-shirt or something just bring those memories of what a jerk or how sad something was that the best thing to do is never to look at them again



The art of Feng Shui 18 months ago

So Im into the principles of feng shui, which is first declutter your environment to make room for the new. I emptied out my desk at work and threw out years worth of old baggage. I think it worked, I just found out my boss is leaving and I may be up for her managerial job. Next up clear up my home to make room for new romance. I shredded my paperwork, and this weekend im ff to goodwill to donate some books and knick knacks. I think this project will take me a month. I want to do it it in intervals so i wont get overwhelmed cleaning and give up. small increments work best for me.

okay im back from the Goodwill. I just donated two bags and 7 books away. Im scheduling the next trip in two weeks. Im serious about this goal.

So I have taken a 2 week break from this goal. Today is the perfect day to start it up again. Shredding will take up most of my time, followed by sorting through my old clothes.

It’s been 16 months since I started this goal. I have noticed that paper clutter is my problem. I have siginificantly reduced my paper mail by having bills and statements emailed to me rather then mailed, but still, the time spent on sorting what I need and shredding what I don’t need.

So I started this goal again, I think this is one of those things that I have to apply one hour a week to maintain, so it never gets out of hand; particulary will all that paper that adds up.

So for the time being, I will buy a good quality shredder, take one hour every day for the next week, and focus on one section of my room and sort and shred. I think that will be best. afterwards I will spend one hour a week and sort and shred paper as it comes in. Another issue I have is with receipts. sometimes you need to wait some time before you shred but keeping them is over whelming to. perhaps I will invest in a reciept folder and once a month go through it and shred them as they seem fit. I must stay focus. I hate clutter- puts me in a bad mood
