I recently printed a form for the local Free Tibet NGO to offer some time as a volunteer. Just a case of actually completing it and sending it off.
Also I bought For Tibet With Love for my girlfriends bday. She will love it, its the girl I went to see the Dalai Lama with

I am following everything that is going on and telling everyone about it. I wear my “Tibet wil lbe free” button everyday and even walk through Chinatown with it. I am trying to get more people in my city to commit to participating the the large worldwide Free Tibet Rally on May 3, 2008.
And of course, hoping the Olympics get boycotted
when I see and hear about what is going on in China at the moment.
How dare they accuse the Dalai Lama as being personally responsbile for the violence? How can they drive him to consider resignation as the spiritual leader of Tibetans? How can the world stand back and watch this?
Where are our so called leaders? Are they so scared of China?
Well, you wouldnt say I am the most active but in the past year I have:
- gone to see the Dalai Lama and told everyone I know of the experience
- eaten at two tibetan restaurants and met Tibetans there and had wonderful discussions with them
- always bring up the subject when people mention the olympics and try and educate friends, family and colleagues who dont know
- recomended that lovely Isobel Losada book to some friends
- joined the facebook group to hopefully get more news and info from there
I am going to a tibetan bazaar and to se the Dalai Lama talk at the end of this month. And although not related, I am doing a lot to support Burma this week. Even plonked myself outside the chinese embassy. Its a cause nonetheless.
There is talk at home of actually going to Tibet when we travel in that region next year. Oh, how I wish….
I read this book by Isobel Losada a year ago and have been haunted by what I learnt ever since. Isobel did a great job of campaigning and raising awareness.
What can I do to free Tibet? I don’t know if there is anything that I could ever do to change the way things are….but if there is… then my name is on the list for helping out. These people deserve their home back. Anyone with ideas – let me know
