knit a baby blanket

OH the joy, the blanket is all knit(ted?)
anyway, I have to sew up the straggly bits – and there are quite a few and then give it a nice wash then it is ready for the baby shower on the 14th. I am too good!

and the blanked is not ready.
When i say almost here, i do mean he/she is due for haloween so whats with the pressure already?

it takes long. but i try to do a ‘stripe’ everytime I watch a movie. I probably get through one ot two stripes a week. I reckon I’ve got around 10 left (already have 18)

Ok, i decided that what i was working on was looking pathetic. It was too small, colours too dark and it just was not good enough. I was out to lunch with mum-to-be and we walked into the yarn shop to pick colours. She got tempted into the project and so (with the guidance of the lady there) we are now both working on baby blankets. Mine is striped and her yarn is varigated (sp?) with same colours. We got the right needles and everything now. This is going to be so good

now just a matter of sewing it up. may be a tad too small. Hoping baby is not too big!!

baby not due till november but i know what happens if i delay. OK so starting with some yellow wool i have here and doing a few patches. not sure of other colour. white? we’ll see
