clean out my closet

I’m so glad to have finished this goal. It was definately worth it. It’s such a blessing to my husband and myself to be able to actually use our closet and to free up space in our bedroom. It’s so much more comfortable to be in now that the closet is clean and we were able to make room. If anyone wants any help, just let me know. I’d be glad to give a tip or two:)

A woman came by about 5 minutes ago to pick up the clothes. So I’m done with this goal!!!!!!!!!

I’m still waiting for someone to pick up the clothes, but hopefully they’ll be picked up by this weekend. WOOT!!!
Oh yeah, and I not only cleaned out the closet, but my husband wanted to clean the bedroom, so we rearranged and swept the floor and got all of the clutter out of the bedroom!!! There was soooo much dust, it was crazy how much can accumulate in only 3 months!!!

Well, The closet is cleaned out!!! I had my husband post the box of free clothes on craigslist and someone already emailed me requesting it!!! Hopefully it’ll be outta here by Wednesday night. If not, then I’m planning to go to Goodwill or Salvation Army on Friday. I’m not going to say that I’ve completed this goal until the boxes are gone. Hopefully it’ll be VERY SOON!!!

This week, I will begin my project of cleaning out the closet. I finished classes last week and want to get this one done while my husband is at work. Tomorrow I’ll begin designating the boxes and start tossing stuff. Wish me luck!

I guess I need a plan because I’ve tried before and I just end up with boxes that have all the same stuff in them piled back in the closet and don’t actually regain any of my space.

Plan:
1. Designate a box for seasonal clothing.
2. Designate a box for give away clothing.
3. Get a trash bag.
4. Spend 15 minutes a day sorting.
5. When I get a box of give away clothing full, I will immediately take it to my car and take it to a donation center within 2 days!
6. I will sort through my suitcases put things where they belong and get rid of junk. Then nest the suitcases into the largest one.
7. dust and sweep.
8. put everything where it belongs.
