Only time will tell how well it turns out but I have now started my own business :o)
Only time will tell how well it turns out but I have now started my own business :o)
I’ve got to run up a couple of invoices and send off the form saying I’ve started my first accounting period.
Just Mac tech support work, but it’s a start.
Booted it up, now to download Linux on my Mac and make CDs to turn the PC into a dual boot machine. I’m planning on not allowing it direct internet access because I don’t want it getting sick ;o)
Got the mobile so I was able to finish my new business cards and print out a batch. The cheque book, cash book and debit card arrived for my business account. The 19” LCD monitor is here but came with a VGA cable so I had to order a DVI one. The PC for testing is due to arrive tomorrow. I’ve set up a desk and work area. Also got a good response to the work so far on the new site for a friend and her LRP group.
They wanted a hosting service too and really I’m not ready.
Ordered a cheep PC today which I’ll have dual booting Linux with Windows so I can test as many browsers as possible. Also a 19” LCD monitor/TV for my Mac but also to use with the PC and as a TV. And I ordered a mobile phone. Started the VAT registration process (just need my business bank account # to finish that). And finally, on a very busy day, got a spruce plank to use as a desk.
I’ve got the phone number and contact name to call tomorrow. I seriously doubt they’ll hire me. I was planning on doing a bunch of free and really low fee sites before I tried to get a REAL job, but something came up with a compnay that a friend works at and hey, pitching will be useful experience even if I totally mess up. So no real pressure … but all the same … EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!
Had a meeting with a business manager at the bank today and all the papers are in for my new business account. Next, fill in and send off form for free accounting software.
Picked up a business pack and made an appointment with one of their business managers for next Monday.
I’m the director of Limited Company!
