Pass the CPA exam

Alright, so it’s 3 out of 3 for this year.Now I need to get my expired FAR back before the sh.t gets real again. I’m scheduled for 2/27, worse comes to worse then I’ll take FAR with Becker in March and then the final attempt in April-May. Thanks for help everyone, thanks for tolerating my whining.

1st testlet was straight out of Becker, while the second one was straight out of hell :-) or more precisely Chapter 5.
I’ve finally understood what my major problem is: despite knowing the material, I’ve no idea what they are asking about. I just don’t understand a question.
Anyway, as I said 1st testlet was easy, second hard, 3rd one I don’t know. They (examinators) probably mark it as easy but it was dificult for me because of this adoptive techniques as it tested me on something that I don’t know.
I would not be suprised at another 73-74. So, just in case I’m studing now (right now!) Chapter 5.
Question: where can I find questions on Independence?

I absolutely admire people who manage to work MC 3+ times both in Becker and Wiley, and pass exam within 90 days, all while pushing through busy season in Big 4 and/or caring for 3 kids. They are my heroes.

But I never ever can do it. I’m just more stupid and less organized/productive. I just don’t have any more free space in my head. Although I get concepts very quickly, I just can’t memorize stuff.

Anyway, where was I? So, I got 73 on 8/31, and did not have time to study for 2.5 months. Have an exam scheduled for 11/29, I’ve probably worked on and off for 14 days and so far I’ve done 41% of questions (Ch. 4 in Audit) + plus planning (Ch3) + Sampling (Ch5). I keep thinking that somewhere there must be a smart way of preparing for exam. And I’m not talking about shortcuts. I remember, probably, a year ago, I read it at taxman72 that you need to know basics but know it really well. In his case, he was referring to Alternative Income tax, which just could not be tested in depth because of its complexity. S Corp, on the other hand,is a fair chance.

I could grasp that “Basics” concept for BEC. But I kept missing it for all other parts. You would expect Becker to take care of this, but they ended up highlighting/underlying pretty much everything. Live classes instructors pretty often don’t give a damn, and just try to finish class early on the weekend to go home. Yaeger is good because they explain EVERYTHING – but it’s not basics. How’s Roger? I also got a good feeling about instructors recommended by bsserott – they are all former Becker, by the way.

...and I believe them. I can’t already think of anything else rather than checking the score every half an hour.

Nasba state – AUD is supposed to be released around next Thursday.

I just try not to think about the “if I didn’t pass” part. Oh well, it will be done this way or another. But it was a sheer pleasure finally to spend 9 hours on cleaning kitchen :-)

I guess I have a good Sims karma – they were very doable. MC were partially insane compilations/reviews. It’s not that they are complicated, it’s just that I don’t remember them. Anyway, best of luck everyone and let’s re-group by the end of September.

So far, I’m only done with questions for Chapters 3-4, i.e. 471 problems. Guess will need to take Wed-Mon off.

When you read Bod minutes on allowing to borrow, which assertion are you testing with regards to Notes payable – valuations, completness, etc.?
