For some reasons, I always manage to find an excuse. And although excuses are legit – my GPS broke down, I still haven’t recovered from the surgery and now looks it’s only matter of time before same surgery on another foot—but stil still still I feel like a piece of BS for not capable of doing it. I guess I’m just a coward – I’m afraid that I won’t keep up with the pace of group, that there would be obstacles, etc. It’s been more than a year since July 13 2008, and I still haven’t done it. shit.

I had to get a foot surgery done because I can’t walk without pain, so hopfully 3 weeks later I’ll be on my way to start hiking.
P.S. got surgery done on 5/27. it’s very tough because I can’t walk/drive but still have to commute 6 hrs/day (usually it’s 4.) But i found a great device (at round-a-bout corp.) and actually manage to get a decent workout.
1. I joined a group of novice hikers through meetup.
2. went to some lake reservation and actually walked entire trail (1.6 miles.) Sounds great, can’t wait until next week to double mileage.
