I think public transportation is one of the best ways to see all walks of life. We live in a rural area and we really only travel by car. Our towns are distant from each other, and the only way between is by car. We do use our bikes for fun and exercise, but it isn’t practicle to travel from town to town by bike.
In our trips to they city, I like to use public transit not only because it is smart, green and convenient; but because the people you see and the things you have to do (i.e read a subway map) are completely different and unknown. What I am trying to say, is that you can run into anyone from a street performer, homeless person, to students, business professionals, artists, laborers, superstars etc. The possibilities are limitless. All walks of life use the subway.
