walked 3-4 miles to the library a few days ago… my legs were sore but I felt really good. And I’ve been doing ‘weighted push-ups’… well, sort of. My three year old niece will sit on my pack and my one-year old nephew on my legs and I’ll do push-ups from my knees instead of my feet (but since they allowed that in gym in school, I say it counts). I do about 10 of those a day and I can feel my arms and chest muscles getting stronger. YAY!

I didn’t figure it would, but spending around 3 hours shoveling snow for my grandparents and elderly neighbors this week definitely got my muscles working. Don’t get me wrong, my back was ridiculously sore all day yesterday, but I feel so good I want to keep this going. And I feel like I’m actually able to move and use my body again and I want to utilize that to actually do something. The biggest downside is that my dance workout dvd isn’t in it’s case and I don’t know where it is, but I can do other stuff besides that.
