Not exactly that I’m in better shape than I was, but I am meeting with a personal trainer tomorrow to see what he says about a good way to do this for me to get what I want in a way that would be good for my body. :)

I don’t have to work tomorrow, so I’m going to make it to the gym sometime during the day in the midst of my cleaning/ decluttering. It will be a good day overall for me… If I can manage to not sleep all day just because I can.
I signed up for a fitness club with my mom today, and we did a lil workout, so that was good. but I’m leaving for work in a week (I JUST found out I got the job, otherwise I prolly wouldn’t have signed up) so we’ll see how that goes. There IS a workout area around where I’ll be living, and it’s a lot of walking, but still… we’ll see how it goes.
and FINALLY bought a pedometer yesterday. It doesn’t seem to be registering my steps correctly though. I think it’s because I’m wearing sweats today and since they’re slightly baggy, they don’t fit right close to me like jeans do. We’ll see, though. I also bought a beginners yoga dvd, because I think it’ll help me de-stress as well as helping get me in shape. We’ll just have to wait and see.
I am pleased to report that through the workout I had been doing before my lazy week this week, I lost about 1 1/2 inches from my hips! YAY! Though this does make my jeans feel weird because I actually NEED a belt now (the rest of my legs/ butt area hasn’t gone down enough to warrant new jeans, and I want it to be significant before I buy new ones- like a reward for losing it, and so I don’t have more “fat” jeans that I can slump back into- I’m going to make myself get in shape and STAY there!)
about 1/2 of a workout routine. I figure that since I’m coughing up a storm and not feeling too good in general, that’s good enough for today. I’m glad I worked out at all though, even if I could only make it through 1/2 before having to stop.
this exercise program as outlined in Joyce Vedral’s book The Fat-Burning workout. I feel really good when I’m done, and I can tell that it’s working. I went on a walk yesterday with the kid I’m babysitting (it’s too rainy today, we’re stuck inside), so that was good. When the weather gets a little warmer, I’m going to break out my rollerblades.
I’m posting this on several different goals, because it fits so it’s going there. I’m going to go on an internet fast, starting tomorrow. I spend way too much time on here, and if I spent even half as much time working on getting closer to God, it would be well worth it. After a meeting in church tonight, I’ll update my blog and then not get on for a week or two. I’m going to spend most of my time in my Bible, praying, reading (other than my Bible), and exercising. This will add up to a much better me. I’m excited. I know it’ll be hard though, so I’m going to ask for your prayers and support, because I am definitely an internet junkie. I figure, if my youth pastor (who had Mountain Dew flowing through his veins) can give up caffeine, I can give up spending so much time on the internet.
I know I need to get in shape to be more healthy and I’ll enjoy life more, but it’s hard for me. I have very little free time and when I do, it’s late at night- after dark and everywhere is closed down, so I can’t go to a gym to work out and I have no idea what it is I’m suppoesed to be doing. Can anyone offer some advice for how to get started and what i should be doing?
