calling my financial aide contact in the morning

i realize it’s the holidays, but i’ll leave her a message because i realized i’m clueless about filling out these forms (always have been) and hopefully i can at least get a walk though from her telling me what i need to do. i have to go in at some point to sign the stuff anyway, so why not ask for help.

passed my test!

i passed my test and have officially enrolled/ the sized me for my uniform and everything. as soon as i get my financial aid, i’ll be all set. (it just sucks that you do have to pay them back.) oh, well, at least i got in!

testing in

today i’m going in to take a test (i guess to see if i know my name and how to write a sentence or something) and if i do well with my test i can save myself a spot for classes, which start on 11 Feb. i’ll post another entry once i find out what’s up. and hopefully i can get some good financial aid too, because i’m a poor little girl and school is expensive.

found my school

i need to get a few other things in my life worked out first, but i found a place i really want to go. there’s a culinary school not far from where we live and i went there for an open house a couple of months ago and loved it.i’ve always liked to cook and my boyfriend devours everything i give him with the highest of praise (and he’s not one to bullshit anyone when it comes to what he thinks, so i must have some skills…plus i can crack an egg with one hand…groovy!) so he suggested i look into becoming a chef. i know you don’t have to have formal training to do this for a living, but i think it could give me an edge, especially since the school has an externship program so i can get restraunt experience as i learn, which will hopefully give me some good recomendations if not a waiting job once i’m done with school. i’m planning to enroll next year and am looking forward to it.
