spend an hour a day cleaning until i have things sorted out

right now my space is just my little room at my MIL’s house. i’ve gotten everything done basically as much as i can right now because i don’t have anywhere else to put stuff. we’re going to move some stuff out of the closet so i can put my clothes on a couple of shelves in there and then hopefully find a place for my suitcases and i think i’ll just stick my winter coat in the fiance’s room til i need it.

so for now i’m calling this a pause point. i’m not done with this goal though. i still have most of my stuff up in new york, so until i have everything dow3n here and it all has a place, i’m not saying i’m done. just on hiatus.

i spent at least an hour cleaning today and did pretty well…i have a lot more floor space. i gathered up most of my laundry, completely changed jezaboo’s litter, threw away a lot of drink containers, andwent through all my plastic bags (i save them for scooping litter). i think i’m going to put a few of my things in puppy’s closet (since i only have one shelf i can use in mine), like my winter coat and my suitcases and either today or tomorrow i’m going to tackle the vanity and try to put away my clean clothes. after that i pretty much just have to vacuum up the litter that’s been kicked out of the box and things should be good.

my next cleaning project will be to tackle the hobby room. first of all, no one likes to bring their dishes to the kitchen or take out the trash and joey spits into ever cup, bottle, and can he gets his hands on (which is the most disgusting thing i’ve ever had to deal with and i cleaned up kitten diarehha last week). so i’m putting all the trash into garbage bags, though i’ll be damned if they think i’m the only one who’s going to bring that shit down (i absolutely HATE cleaning up after people who can do it themselves). then i think i’ll start with organizing all our games and papers. finally, the hard part. i’ll be sorting through all our warhammer stuff. actually, most of mine is pretty well organized, it’s puppy’s that needs some help. i’m putting sprews from different armies into separate zippy bags and trying to group his armies together. and i want all the painting and glueing supplies in one place so i don’t have to dig through piles of stuff to find the color i need (and get rid of paints that have gooped up too much or dried out. after that it’s pretty much sweeping and dusting (and mabee trying to disinfect the mouse and keyboard since four of us use it and i’m pretty sure not everyone has clean hands.

i guess i’m just feeling super productive right now since puppy’s busy working and i’m not able to just lounge around with him watching movies all the time. i’m happy to be making progress.

i haven’t been able to do much cleaning the past few days because of my scarification. it hurts to move my left arm much. but i’m still going to try when i feel okay and by next friday i should be fully functional again.

i spend almost the whole hour cleaning (elliott started talking to me when i had about five minutes left so i decided to call it a day) and i really did get a lot done. i cleaned off my computer desk and one of my night stands, gathered up some important documents, gathered up some things that need to be shredded, and i have a big bag full of trash and a small bag full of glass and plastic recyclables. plus i got all my medical trsh off my bed and into their proper bins. i even uncovered a small box that had been filled with junk that will be perfect for books or other heavy things for when i move (speaking of the move, i’m dreading taking apart my computer desk because i don’t know the size of all those screws and will have a hell of a time putting it back together unless Puppy and his man-friends can do it for me).

i think tonight i will work on my vanity and the brown chair of doom (which i’m so sad Puppy is making me get rid of) and if i have time, the stack of boxes with clothes that i don’t want to pack yet. and mabee i’ll try to move the old tower out into the hall to be put in the basement. i think that will be plenty for tonight. mabee tomorrow i’ll tackle the closet. frightening!
