Make new friends

my boyfriend’s friend has a new girlfriend who seems okay (i can’t remember her name to save my life though) and we have lots in common…except she seems to think she’s a race car driver. but we were talking about a few of us (sans boyfriends) going out to a show sometime, so that would be cool.

and hopefully i’ll meet some new people when i start school next month too and i’ll like them enough to hang out too.

baby steps, but still, vast improvements, i think.

i saw this goal and it screamed, “add me to your list!” i’ve been in a long distance relationship for quite a while now and finally moved down here so ic ould get engaged. the only problem is that all my friends are back home. i’m pretty friendly with my fiance’s friends, but i need some of my own. of course i’m one of those dumb people who never got their license when they were a teenager (i’m trying to get one now though) so i don’t have much in the way of means to go out and meet people i might be able to connect with. i do have some ideas for trying to get to know people once i can drive (i’ll be starting culinary school, i plan to voulenteer with animals, and i was thinking about taking some sort of class for fun) so i could meet some people with similar interests. but for now i don’t have much. there is this girl who works at a place that my fiance and i go all the time and she’s dating one of his friends. we chit chat sometimes, so i might try to get to know her better and mabee see if the four of us could go somewhere and do one of those cheesey double dates. i do know that she and i have some similar interests, so i think it would be nice to have her as a friend.
