There are many things I want to accomplish during my lifetime, so living a long time would be great. But if I knew I would live forever, would ennui overshadow everything in my life? Would I have any incentive to get up in the morning if I knew that I could do tomorrow whatever I didn’t do today, since there would always be a tomorrow?
Until someone proves me wrong, I’ll just go on believing that I’ve already achieved immortality. Kind of the “so far, so good” approach. Let’s see how long my conviction lasts…
