Got down from 117 to 84 then went back up to 90 and have been there for.. 6 months now. Have just moved interstate and am getting a bit more hardcore about my fitness while I am here, so we will see, maybe I’ll sink back down to 85 again. But to be realistic, I was riding my bike every day (no car), eating very well and going to the gym 5 times a week, and I got to 85 and peaked. Maybe my body is not meant to be 80kg.

I’ve been 84-85 kg for about six months now. I’m almost 6ft and I think my body is happy here. I’d be happy to concede that 84 is the ideal weight for me. Considering I started at 114 that’s not bad. But I’m not quite giving up yet.
When I went for this goal I was 90kg and now on the scales this morning I was 84.4. I anticipate it’ll be another month or two but it’s so close!! When I’m 79 I will be pretty happy.
2008 will be my third year of seriously trying to lose weight. In 2006 I only managed to lose 7kg, in the first six months, all on my own. In 2007 I managed to shed about 16kg with the help of the personal trainer at my workplace, plus a few changes in diet, methods of transport and routine. etc. This year, I want to lose at least another 10kg, taking me down to 80kg. At 90kg now, I’m already the skinniest Ive ever been in my adult life. But another 10kg and I’ll be within the healthy weight range and maybe my scales will stop telling me I’m overweight :-) It is hard to believe that it could actually happen.
