Been doing well this year. I am walking an hour each day. Well, this week was not so good, too tired two days in a row. But I have lost 12 pounds since 2006 started. But it is easy to lose and relose this amount. I must keep going.

OK. I am getting more sleep. I am finding more balance in my life. I have most of my 30 books read already. I have arranged my mornings so I can spend more time in Bible study, devotions, and being calm. I eat more fruits and vegetables than last year. But to add 30 minutes to the schedule to walk on the machine, just seems to make everything else fall apart trying. Maybe I am trying to do too much at once. Well, this one is not coming easy, that is all I can say. It will definitely be copied over to the next list. But everything new I am buying size 16, just one size smaller. The goal is 2 sizes smaller. But this way it won’t be too hard to take in one dress size. I am not going to make myself become the waif model type. Probably would not succeed at that anyway. But I want to look better than now. But I also want to enjoy life and that includes good food. Balance, once again.

Any suggestions on how to work more exercise into a busy life?

The last two weeks I have consistently walked the neighborhood streets for 45 minutes and it feels good to get into a healthy habit. My next goal is to clear the spare room out enough that I can get to the air walker. If I take the 20 minutes I spend drinking a cup of coffee and eating a banana and either some pineapple or some almonds and reading a book, and get on the air walker, I can still do all those things at the same time. I have a TV in there so I can hear the news and the weather, and it will help me to burn more calories when I walk in the evenings. Ideally, I would like to get a half hour or so in the mornings, but that would require getting less sleep. I will try for the 20 minutes first.

I bought a jump rope for a buck at Walmart. Tried it, it is just long enough. At least until I can dig out the equipment it will remind me of this goal at least.

Several of these goals are like dominos. Got to do something else on the list first to get to others. On this one, I started redecorating 3 rooms at once (don’t do this) in June and have one room left. You guessed it, the exercise equipment is in there and I can’t even get to it. But gotta do something soon. I completely changed my look, new do, new makeup, new glasses, I mean my own Mom did not recognize me. Our Brown or UPS guy at work, took him 9 months to figure out who I was and we were on first name basis. But still need to lose weight.
